General Description
:
The lefkoniko sands is a modern apart-hotel with a white façade, located on rethymnon's beach promenade, 700 metres from the elderly town and fortessa. The 41 air- conditioned apartments, over four floors, are decorated in soft neutral colours with patterned fabrics, wood furnishings and furnished balconies. All offer fully equipped kitchenettes, televisions, direct-dial phones, safes and bathrooms with showers. The hotel has its own eatery, premier, which serves a broad range of local and international dishes in a relaxed, informal setting, and there is a beach bar and a lobby bar where guests can unwind with drinks. Guests can go for a refreshing dip in the hotel's outdoor pool, and make use of the broad range of facilities at the nearby lefkoniko beach and lefkoniko bay hotels. There is also parking obtainable nearby for those arriving by car. The hotel is well placed for exploring rethymnon, and the lovely island of crete and all its sights; the beach is just 20 metres from the hotel, and the shops, restaurants and bars of the town centre are just 700 metres away. Further afield the monastery of arkadi is 30 kilometres away, the fountains of spili are 39 kilometres away, lake kournas is 58 kilometres from the hotel and knossos palace is 65 kilometres distant. Heraklion international airport is 75 kilometres away, and takes approximately 90 minutes to reach by car.
