General Description
:
This is one of the best hotels in nafplion and benefits from a main location affording all rooms showy views. The main eatery is legendary locally for it's first-rate cuisine. (08/05 me). The hotel, cut into the side of a mountain is constructed with yellow/ grey stone and is reached via a cobblestone drive. The rooms are large and kept in very good condition along with the bathrooms. Rooms have a mixture of stone and cream papered walls and an appealing wooden ceiling. All rooms face the sea and have balconies. There is a large eatery located on the lower level which is not opulent but simply furnished and functional; decorated with yellow ceilings and brown stone flooring. The other is constructed with large windows giving first-rate views of the bay and mountains in the distance and has a suspended wood fire in the middle. The quality of the dishes served and the service itself are of an first-rate standard. The lobby is very large, decorated in pastel colours with yellow marble flooring and grey ceiling tiles. It incorporates a large lounge on a higher level offering first-rate views over the bay. There is a large reception desk on the left hand side as you enter. The hotel stands on the acronafplia overlooking the town of nafplion and the bay. one facade offers views of the harbour and fortified islet or boutzi and subsequent offers views of arvantia beach. The hotel lift takes you from the hotel down in to the town below.
